Accessibility Statement
Updated 6 October 2026
This site is built and run by me, Lenny Alvarez. It is a portfolio of photographic work, and it should be usable by everyone, including people browsing with a screen reader, with the keyboard only, or with the text enlarged.
Something you cannot use? Email lenny@lennyal.com, tell me what you were trying to do, and I will fix it or send you what you needed in another form. I answer personally.
What the site aims at
WCAG 2.1 level AA, which is the basis of Israeli standard 5568. The site is checked with the keyboard and with browser zoom.
What has been done
- The page is built from semantic HTML, with real headings, links and buttons.
- Photographs carry a text alternative, and images that are purely decorative are marked as such so a screen reader skips them.
- The image viewer can be operated with the keyboard: arrow keys move between pictures and Escape closes it.
- Text can be enlarged in the browser and the page can be pinch zoomed on a phone.
- Nothing moves, flashes or plays sound on its own.
What is still missing
- The site is a photographic portfolio, so a large part of it is pictures. The descriptions next to them are short.
- The image viewer and the enquiry window were built by hand and have not been tested with every screen reader.
- Client galleries are private links built for one client at a time and have had less testing than the main site.
