For my brother Liam and me, Chile was always part of our family story. Through our father, we are Chilean — but we grew up far from there. Our connection to the country was built on memories and family still living there. When we decided to set out together on a month-long journey across Chile, it was clear this was an attempt to understand the place we came from, not just to see landscapes.
